K.R. (Doc) Yedla serves as the chairman and founder of Yedla Management Company. He left India on a passenger ship in the 1950s and made his way to Liverpool, England. He eventually ended up in a YMCA in New York City with less than $100 in his pocket and a dream to pursue an education, build a business, and raise a family in America. K.R. pursued his passion for business and education to become a university professor and Chairman of the Economics and Finance Department, as well as the head of International Admissions at Alabama A&M University in Huntsville, Alabama. Dr. Rao continues to be a driving force and inspiration behind Yedla Management Company, spearheading its growth and development efforts, and the company’s continued success.
Srinath brings years of experience working as a senior executive with a Fortune 500 company and a developer and operator of several hospitality industry assets, including Marriott, Hilton, and Starwood (Westin) brand hotels. As the company CEO, Srinath has led Yedla’s Business Development team during periods of unprecedented growth and has been directly involved with overseeing new management and acquisition activities, and seeking out business development opportunities. Under Srinath’s leadership, the portfolio value of assets under management have tripled within the last three years.
Satya Yedla serves as the COO of Yedla Management Company and is responsible for all operational matters related to the company’s overall portfolio. He has an extensive operations background in the hospitality, restaurant, multi-family residential, and facilities management industries. Previously he owned and operated a government contractor providing facilities management services to approximately one hundred government facilities. After achieving a high value exit for that company, Satya joined his father and brother to pursue the development and operation of a diverse portfolio of real estate ventures with a focus on the hospitality industry. Satya and his operations team have maintained a disciplined focus on continuous process improvement within the company for over twenty years. This focus has led to the implementation of numerous process-based initiatives that have ensured the portfolio is operated in a manner that ensures a high degree of value for the customer while delivering industry-leading returns to investors.
Michael is a hotel operations expert with 25+ years of experience working at the corporate and multi-unit level of the industry. His resume includes positions as Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice President, Regional Vice President, and Director of Operations. He has worked as an independent consultant, an asset manager and a turnaround expert. Companies and major clients include; Lodgian Hotels & Resorts, Interstate Hotels & Resorts, Richfield Hospitality, Rockbridge Capital, 1st Equity Bank, Focus Management Company, and DMC Investments, LLC.
Laura Harper serves as Human Resources Manager and General Counsel to Yedla Management company. Laura has over five years’ experience in private practice, representing diverse corporate clients. As corporate counsel, Laura advises the company in commercial and contractual matters. She utilizes her legal experience to oversee the strategic and day to day HR functions of the company.
Anya joined Yedla as a Corporate Director of Revenue Management in January 2015. A graduate of New York University with a Masters degree in Revenue Management, Anya started her hospitality career at Waldorf Astoria New York.
Prior to joining Yedla Management Company, Anya was a part of Revenue Management Remote Solutions Team at Marriott International Headquarters, managing a vast portfolio of Marriott brands across the US and Canada. Anya is responsible for overseeing the revenue management, business intelligence, pricing, planning and analysis for the Yedla hotels.
Kristy is responsible for day to day accounting activities for Yedla Management Company properties, including creating monthly financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivables, payroll processing, and administrative human resources tasks. She has served as the Corporate Accounting Manager since 2007 but joined the company in 1997. Previously, Kristy held General Manager positions for the Hampton Inn in Huntsville and the Radisson Huntsville Airport in Madison, Alabama.
Stuart Newmark is a hospitality veteran with a career that spans over 37 years. Stuart has held general manager and senior corporate positions with distinguished hospitality organizations throughout his career working across the country in locations including Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, the Florida Keys, Hartford, Miami, New York, Orlando, Philadelphia, Raleigh, NC and Savannah, Georgia. Prior to joining Yedla, Stuart served as an operations executive with Starwood Capital Group guiding operations and renovations for multiple resorts and hotels within their portfolio. He served as the opening General Manager of the world-class luxury/boutique Grand Bohemian Hotel in Orlando, Florida, and subsequently the Chief Operating Officer for the Kessler Collection with full oversight for the portfolio of boutique hotels, resorts, restaurants, spas and art galleries situated throughout the United States. Stuart holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Central Florida, Rosen College of Hospitality Management and an Associate of Science degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Travel Administration from the University of Massachusetts. He is also a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) since 1995.
